Highly available secondary storage
High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures address two different approach types for data resiliency.
HA is needed if availability of data is required on high level. One such example is when backup windows is spread around the clock – transaction applications have backup window at night, analytics systems during the day.
DR architecture provides higher level security of data – protecting against disaster of entire datacenter. But only a combination of these two is sufficient protection on enterprise level.
